What is Chin Implant?
Chin Implant Turkey, also known as mentoplasty or genioplasty, is applied to provide a proportionate appearance on the face and to correct congenital problems in the chin structure.
The chin, much like the nose, plays a pivotal role in the central symmetry of the face, contributing significantly to its overall balance. Positioned along the midline, it ensures facial structures harmonize seamlessly. A small chin may exaggerate facial length or size, while asymmetry can distort overall facial alignment.
Optimal chin proportions are crucial for both men and women, enhancing facial aesthetics. A slightly more pronounced chin in men enhances masculine features, making it a sought-after attribute.
How is Chin Implant in Turkey performed?
Jaw surgery typically requires general anesthesia. Chin augmentation procedures vary in duration, ranging from 1 to 1,5 hours, depending on whether it involves a single or double chin correction.
During a chin implant procedure, customized to the patient’s requirements, a small incision is made either under the chin or inside the mouth. The implant is then carefully placed on the prepared area of the jawbone to achieve the desired aesthetic outcome.
During the surgery, an incision can be made inside the mouth or under the chin. Both techniques have advantages and disadvantages. The most important advantage of the incision made through the mouth is that there is no scar left after the surgery, but the disadvantage is that it can sometimes cause some numbness in the lower lips. The advantage of the incision made at the crease under the chin is that it does not cause loss of sensation in the lips, but some scars may remain at the incision site depending on personal characteristics.
If my patient’s oral hygiene is good, I prefer intraoral incisions.

What Are The Negative Effects Of Having A Small Chin On My Face?
Patients with a smaller chin compared to their face have a nose that is perceived as larger than it actually is. No matter how much the noses of these patients are reduced by surgery, they may still be perceived as large.
In some cases, because the person’s chin is smaller than it should be, aging and sagging in the neck area may develop faster than their peers.
Many oral and general health problems may occur in patients who have biting problems due to their crooked jaw structure, such as sleeping with their mouth open at night, dry mouth, bad breath, and gum diseases.
Aesthetic jaw surgery aims to eliminate all of the problems outlined above, whether it is performed for functional concerns such as incorrect bite or for purely aesthetic reasons.
Submentoplasty Surgery
One of the most common surgeries we perform together with the chin implant is the removal of FAT tissues under the chin that make the neck look thick and fatty.
I divide the fat in this area into two parts, the superficial ones and the deep ones. The superficial ones can be easily removed only with liposuction, but if the fatty tissues are deep, unfortunately, it is not possible to remove them with liposuction, and EVEN trying liposuction for deep fat, involves very serious risks and causes complications.
The procedure that should be performed in such patients is Submentoplasty surgery, which I performed with a special technique I developed by myself.
And I have to tell you that 70% of the patients carry fat tissue deep in the neck. Therefore, it can be briefly said that liposuction is an operation that will not be unsufficient in 70% of patients.
